Macie Prajer is an experienced psychotherapist who specializes in treating adolescents, tweens, teens, and emerging adults. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bringham Young University as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of New Haven.
Macie chose to pursue a career in healthcare to ensure the safety and welfare of today’s youth. She had early exposure to social services and the effects of foster care, which enhanced her genuine care and compassions for others. This formative experience left her with the desire to pursue a human-centric career. Macie is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and many holistic modalities including mindfulness, ayurveda, and yoga.
As a therapist at Prima Wellness, Macie has an affinity for working with the tween/teen population and providing them with holistic tools that support this important developmental period. Macie excels at treating behavioral challenges, substance abuse and addiction, disordered eating, mood disorders, interpersonal and sociodevelopmental concerns, adjustment challenges, and many other mental health-related issues.
Macie enjoys spending time in nature and taking her dog, Harley the Great Dane, for long walks on the beach.
